2. What We Believe
2.1 The Scriptures and the Triune God. We believe the entire Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
2.2 Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary — true Man and true God.
2.3 The Holy Spirit. We believe that in this present age God makes Himself known through the Holy Spirit, a distinct person eternally coexistent with the Father and the Son, whose work is to convict the world of sin, to regenerate all who believe, and to indwell and empower believers to live godly lives that glorify the Father and the Son.
2.4 Humanity and the Fall. We believe that man was created in the image of God, and that through sin he brought upon himself both physical death and spiritual death — eternal separation from God — a condition now common to all people.
2.5 The Atonement. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that everyone who trusts in Him is justified on the basis of His shed blood.
2.6 The Resurrection and Return of Christ. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now lives there for us as our High Priest and Advocate, and that His personal, physical return to earth is imminent.
2.7 The Resurrection of the Just and the Unjust. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust — the just to everlasting life in the presence of God, and the unjust to everlasting separation from Him.
2.8 The Sanctity of Life. We believe that every human life is created in the image of God and is sacred from conception to natural death, and that we are called to affirm, protect, and honor the dignity of every person at every stage of life.
2.9 Marriage and Human Sexuality. We believe that God created humanity male and female, and that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God, within which the expression of physical intimacy is rightly given. We hold these convictions while affirming that every person is worthy of love, compassion, and respect.
2.10 Discipleship and Stewardship. We believe that those who follow Christ are called to make disciples, to love their neighbors, to care for the poor and the vulnerable, and to steward faithfully the resources entrusted to them for the advancement of God's kingdom.
